| THE PATIENT CHARTER PROMISE: |
| To ensure the well being of every patient, with a high quality of care and service throughout and include the following: |

| ON DEPARTING THE UK: |
- a taxi or appropriate transportation to take the patient to the airport, if required
- all relevant medical notes forwarded to the designated hospital
- all travel - including flights, travel insurance etc - organised with ABTA/ABTOL bonded companies

| ON ARRIVING OVERSEAS: |
- a representative to meet the patient at the airport and escort them to their transfer from the airport to the hospital

| HOSPITALS: |
- provide English speaking doctors and nurses to look after UK patients
- work to internationally recognised standards, with advanced surgical facilities and highly qualified physicians and specialists of all medical disciplines
- ensure the highest standards of patient care at times
- carry out all post operative treatment
- have the minimum required level of Professional Indemnity insurance cover as required

| FOR COMFORT AND ADDED PEACE OF MIND: |
- a daily visit from an Operations Abroad assistance team member, who will also liaise with the medical staff of the hospital
- a 24 hour Assistance Helpline with qualified staff on hand to answer patient emergencies
- a complete travel package for any accompanying relatives or friends to be arranged if required
- a daily UK newspaper during hospital stay
- Television with English networks

| ON LEAVING HOSPITAL: |
- transfer to a quality hotel located near to the hospital for further rehabilitation, if required, before returning to the UK
- any special facilities required when the patient is returning to the UK to be arranged by an Operations Abroad assistance team member,including:
- travel assistance with nurse or doctor in attendance
- wheelchair assistance + extra seating on airline
- air ambulance + assistance on arrival in UK and transportation home
- sufficient supply of drugs/medication for 7 days, a letter for the patient¹s G.P and detailed case notes for the referring hospital
