THOMAS CONNOLLY
"THOMAS WENT TO SWITZERLAND FOR HIS TRIPLE HEART BYPASS"

Thomas, from Bristol, was retired from his job as a council supervisor when he had a heart attack. It was a worrying time for him and the situation was not improved when he was told that although he would need a triple bypass, for the time being he would just have to stay on the waiting list.

Thomas decided to contact Operations Abroad Worldwide and within two weeks he was in hospital in Switzerland having his heart operation.

"My wife came with me and we shared a room.  All the flights and travel arrangements were made for us so we had no trouble at all.

I have had a new lease of life since I had the operation three years ago and I can thoroughly recommend it.

I would tell anyone who needs an operation to just go ahead and get it done."

THOMAS ROUSE
"LIFE SAVING SURGERY IN TUNISIA"

"I chose to go abroad as I had an aortic aneurism and had it burst I would have died instantly.

I knew I was walking around with a time bomb ticking inside me and decided I had to do something and therefore as I could not get the operation in the UK, I chose to go abroad.  It was also safer abroad as there was no MRSA.

I chose Operations Abroad Worldwide as after my initial telephone enquiry the girls were so attentive and caring that I knew I was making the right choice to have this operation done. The cheapest place was Tunisia so I opted for there.

The hospital and staff in Tunisia were lovely. It was excellent throughout. The surgeon there even gave me his home telephone number and mobile in case I ever wanted to speak to him. This would never happen in the UK.

Honestly I cannot thank the girls at Operations Abroad Worldwide enough. They still ring me now and ask how I am doing. It is nice that someone cares about you. I would recommend this whole experience to anyone."

JOHN MCLENNAN
"JOHN'S GP RECOMMENDED HE GO ABROAD THROUGH OPERATIONS ABROAD WORLDWIDE"

Mr McLennan chose to go to India after his GP referred him to Operations Abroad Worldwide.

"After speaking with Operations Abroad Worldwide they advised me they could arrange for me to go to India for two weeks to one of the leading hospitals in India. My main reason for choosing India was mainly the price.

I was met on arrival at the airport and taken to the hospital where I had a lovely private room. I even had a dvd player, telephone and a computer with internet access in my room.

The staff at Operations Abroad Worldwide were superb and the level of care in India was superb as was the aftercare and physiotherapy.

I returned home after 14 days in India and on my first day home I drove round to my daughters and went for a walk along the sea front. Overall I was delighted with the service I received."

The results of our treatment were above and beyond what we expected.  We are so happy that we chose to go to Romania for our dental treatment.  We would recommend anyone to go through Operations Abroad Worldwide.

The cost was unbelievable compared to the UK. We saved 80% on UK dentistry prices.

All round an amazing experience! Our teeth are absolutely fantastic!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

What can we say about the lovely Ruth who accompanied us home? We couldn’t have managed without her".

TERRYL DAVIES
"TERRYL HAD URGENT DOUBLE CATARACT SURGERY"

Terryl, a 52 year old accountant from Cardiff, decided to go abroad for her double cataract surgery.

She had a rare form of Cataract which was making it impossible for her to read spreadsheets, and as the waiting list in her local area was 39 weeks, the cost privately in the UK was £2000 per eye, and she was worried about the risk of contracting MRSA in the UK - having the surgery in Norway was definitely the best way forward for Terryl.

Terryl spent 2 nights in Norway having the much needed surgery.

Terryl rated the whole experience as Excellent from start to finish.

Her feelings upon returning home after the surgery were "I had the most amazing experience. What could have been an extremely stressful experience was made so wonderful by the care and attention I received throughout the whole process.

I can never thank everyone involved enough"

ARMANDO PERALTA
"ARMANDO WENT TO GERMANY FOR A SPINAL FUSION OPERATION"

"My main reason for going abroad was to avoid the waiting lists and I could not wait in pain any longer.

I chose Operations Abroad Worldwide due to the speed that they could get my operation done and their superb reputation.

I cannot fault any area of the total service I received. I felt totally respected at all times.

I would say it was excellent value for money and there were no hidden extras or charges.

All in all after having been in a number of hospitals throughout the world I would rate the hospital in Germany by far the best with dedicated doctors and staff.

I would rate the whole experience as excellent from when I first enquired to when I returned back to the UK following my operation."

JOHN GUY
"JOHN BUYS A NEW HIP IN CAIRO"

When John Guy retired he could have reasonably expected retirement to be a really happy period in his life but the quality of his life was ruined by the pain in his hip. He could not enjoy even simple pleasures like looking after his garden.

After waiting over a year and still not knowing when he would come to the top of the NHS waiting list, John decided to look elsewhere.

Private treatment in England was outside his budget so he looked into the possibility of going abroad instead.

Jonh contacted Operations Abroad Worldwide .  He was pleased and relieved when he found that it would cost him significantly less to go to Egypt.

He had his operation and then had two weeks of physiotherapy in Cairo before returning to the UK.

"It was brilliant. I just can't praise them enough.

The staff were wonderful and everything was done well. I had my operation 2 years ago and I have no complaints at all."

JOSEPH ALEXANDER
"JOSEPH CHOSE TO GO TO NORWAY FOR HIS MUCH NEEDED LIGAMENT SURGERY"

Joseph chose to go to Norway to avoid waiting lists in the UK.

His comments were:

"Initially I was apprehensive, because I have never had an operation.  Let alone go abroad to have one.

This soon changed after discussing my concerns with Ruth.  All in all it was a pleasant experience and worth every penny.

Everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful at the hospital.  One person did stand out - Nime! She was the nurse that looked after me at the hospital. She had an aura of kindness and sincere warmth that made me feel like I was the most important person."

BRENDA GREY
"BRENDA CHOSE MALTA FOR HER DOUBLE KNEE REPLACEMENT TO AVOID MRSA & TO SAVE MONEY COMPARED TO UK PRIVATE HEALTHCARE PRICES"

Mrs Grey, 62, needed both knees replacing. She chose Malta as she found it to be excellent value for money and also as it is much safer as there is no MRSA or any other hospital infections. Her comments upon her return to the UK were:-

"From the initial enquiry about having a double knee replacement the staff at Operations Abroad were extremely helpful and very courteous.

Both my husband and I were very impressed with all the services that were given to us, including a first class consultant, Anaesthetist, nursing staff and all the others involved in our stay at the Hospital in Sliema, Malta.

I would recommend this hospital for it’s cleanliness and impressive care and attention including good food which I received after my very successful operation.

From our point of view it was money well spent".

CYRIL ADCOCK
"CYRIL HAD FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION TREATMENT ABROAD "

Cyril went to Romania for his dental treatment. He needed a full mouth reconstruction with 9 implants and extensive bone grafting.  After meeting the dentist in London, Cyril and his wife decided to go to Romania for the treatment.

He had researched many avenues to get his treatment but he found that the price in the UK of about £2000 per tooth made having a full mouth reconstruction horribly expensive.

"I chose Operations Abroad Worldwide and received a prompt, efficient and helpful service at all times and would recommend them to anyone.

I now have once again a full set of teeth and I am able to eat normally. The procedure has resulted in a huge improvement in my quality of life and I am truly delighted with the outcome.

In addition, I have had the added pleasure of two visits to Romania, a country with which I was previously unfamiliar, and where I enjoyed excellent hospitality and a significant cultural exchange."

MIKE GRANT
"MIKE CHOSE NORWAY FOR HIS HERNIA OPERATION"

Mike from Ashford contacted Operations Abroad Worldwide as he urgently needed a Hernia operation.  He chose to go to Norway rather than enduring the lengthy NHS waiting lists.  He also found that he would save approximately 50% compared to paying privately for surgery in the UK.

"Many thanks for all your help and organising a complete package. The hospital was superb, I found the general surgeon and his team absolutely marvellous.

The level of care and skill was second to none which is sadly lacking in the U.K.

Even after the operation the doctor came round to the hotel where I was staying to check if I was OK and to check that all was well.  I found all the staff approachable and friendly, these people really do care about their patients.

I would recommend Ops Abroad anytime to my friends and colleagues, thank you again."

DAVID WOODS
"DAVID CHOSE TO GO ABROAD FOR HIS DENTAL TREATMENT BECAUSE OF OPERATIONS ABROAD'S SUPERB REPUTATION"

RITA GRAY
"RITA FLEW TO TUNISIA FOR HER HIATUS HERNIA OPERATION AFTER FINDING NO SOLUTION OR HELP IN THE U.K"

Rita, 56, had needed a hiatus hernia for a considerable amount of time and it had caused her much discomfort, pain and anguish. She could get no help with this in the UK and had exhausted all options resulting in her choosing to go abroad for the operation.

Her comments were:-

"I arrived at Tunis Airport on the 11th July 2007. I had a good flight and the hospital staff were waiting for me.

I was very nervous coming to a country by myself that I did not know. But I had no need to worry. My bed clothes were changed daily and the room, and there was no MRSA to worry about.

I was taken to a beautiful hotel after my operation where again the staff were all friendly and caring. I had a lovely time and did not want to go home. How’s that for a nervous patient?

I can only speak highly of the doctors and for all the staff’s kindness towards me and a special thank you to Ruth for arranging everything for me within weeks.

I am no longer in dreadful pain, and all the dreadful burping has stopped. I am very grateful for everyone’s help and would have no hesitation in recommending the Clinique or Operations Abroad Worldwide to anyone in the future.

I can now get on with my life once more and look forward to the future".

BRIAN HAINES
"BRIAN WENT ABROAD FOR HIS MUCH NEEDED DENTAL IMPLANTS"

Brian from Gwent read about Operations Abroad Worldwide in the Daily Express and after reading an excellent review about Operations Abroad Worldwide he made an appointment to have a free consultation in London.

He was very happy with the consultation and chose to go to Romania for his dental implants and in doing so saved approximately 85% compared to U.K dental costs.

"I found Operations Abroad Worldwide to be extremely helpful in dealing with all aspects of my enquiry before I travelled abroad.

I was given all the necessary information that I needed once I made the decision to travel.

The dentist and all his staff were excellent.  The hotel was very clean and the local food was delicious.

Everything went very smoothly and I have already recommended many friends to use Operations Abroad Worldwide."

"26 YR OLD CHEF FLIES TO MALTA FOR WRIST OPERATION"

Local chef, Benjamin Denton from Launceston, Cornwall, recently returned from having surgery in Malta. After having much needed surgery on his wrist that was not readily available in the UK.

"As far as I am concerned it was a good day when we found Operations Abroad on the internet.

Right from the start the service and information received was excellent. Absolutely everything was taken care of once the decision was made to go to Malta – nothing was too much trouble.

The chosen hospital was marvellous and the care received could not have been faulted. For anybody considering being treated abroad, I would have no hesitation in recommending Operations Abroad.

In fact I cannot think of any ways at all that Operations Abroad could improve their service."

ANNE SLATER
"ANNE FLEW TO MALTA FOR HER COSMETIC SURGERY HOLIDAY"

Anne wanted to combine a holiday abroad whilst having cosmetic surgery.

After finding Operations Abroad Worldwide on the internet and discovering that the hospitals that Operations Abroad Worldwide work with are all free from MRSA or any other hospital infection, she decided to travel to Malta for her cosmetic surgery holiday.

"I have had no problems since my operation was performed in Malta.

I decided after losing weight that it was time to take the plunge and have a Breast Reduction and Tummy Tuck.

I initially chose Operations Abroad due to the choice and high standard of hospitals and as a total package price it was cheaper to go to Malta than have the operation in the UK.

I travelled alone so I was a bit nervous but the assurance and security that Operations Abroad gave me alleviated any concerns I had. They were very professional in handling everything but were reassuring at the same time.

All the staff were very pleasant and attentive to my needs. My hospital room was clean with a cheerful décor. The food was even good and I had a TV / Radio in my room.

The aftercare following my operation was also excellent. I stayed in the hotel next door to the hospital for most of my stay and it was superb. The rooms were lovely and the food was exceptional.

I would tell anybody who needs an operation, as your health is so very important, don’t wait any longer, just go for it."

GRAHAM WHETTAM
"CLASSICAL MUSIC COMPOSER WENT TO MALTA FOR HIS NEW HIP"

Mrs Whettam arranged for her husband Graham, 79, to go to Malta for his hip replacement so he did not have to endure lengthy NHS waiting lists and also as they were both very worried about the increasing levels of MRSA and other infections within UK hospitals.

Mrs Whettam's comments after Graham's operation were:-

"I decided to take my husband to Malta, booking the hip replacement package offered by Operations Abroad, because of a worrying deterioration in his health in addition to the incapacitating pain of a "rotten hip.

I felt he could not wait the five months proposed for an NHS operation.

After spending the first night in the hotel the day was spent in the hospital next door having tests and x-rays.

The consultant cardiologist was called in because of concerns by the anaesthetist and the orthopaedic consultant and the operation was postponed.

My husband then had a week of intensive treatment - all unplanned - and the operation was performed after his body was deemed to be 'in balance' just nine days later.

The operation has been a success and he is learning to walk again as is normal after this operation. He is also a much healthier person thanks to the first class emergency/preparatory treatment he received in Malta.

Going to Malta for the operation was the best decision I have ever made.

My feelings about the trip to Malta are that we have been so very fortunate and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity offered by Operations Abroad. I hope all continues to go well with your superb organisation."
