Rehabilitation is very common across Europe and many countries have rehabilitation centres offering inpatient and outpatient treatments.
This has been common practice in European healthcare for over 30 years however the UK has not followed this path.
Rehabilitation in the UK usually focuses on outpatient treatment or providing minimal physiotherapy for the first few days after surgery whilst the patient is in hospital. Once the patient leaves the hospital the patient goes home with no more physiotherapy.
in Europe it's totally different - patients receive highly focused rehabilitation in dedicated centres which provide intensive rehabilitation packages.
